Today, we offer three easy-to-use settings to make your photos even more beautiful and our presets even more powerful. In the examples below, we’re using the Lightroom mobile app, but the methods are the same for Lightroom desktop users.
While we do our best to make sure that our presets work perfectly with a wide variety of images, it’s impossible to predetermine the perfect settings for every photo. Several factors can influence the quality of a photo: the type of camera and lens used, where the photo is taken (indoor or outdoor), the time of day (day or night) and more. The lighting in your photo can be exceptionally dark, bright, warm or cold depending on all of these factors.
I want to discuss with you 3 quick and easy adjustments you can make to our presets in Lightroom, to make them more efficient.
Let’s get started!
1. Exposition
The exposure slider will allow you to increase or decrease the light in your photo if it is too dark or too bright. Increasing the exposure slider between +0.5 and +0.35 works for all photos. However, the result still depends on the original lighting of the image you are editing!

If you are using the mobile app, click on the “light” tab and you will see the “exposure” slider.

Tip: It is important to take photos that are slightly underexposed, because overexposed images are much more difficult to correct in post-processing, if not often impossible!
2. Temperature and tint
If the lighting in your photo is too warm (yellow) or too cold (blue), you may need to adjust the “Temperature” and “Tint” sliders also called “White Balance”. They can play a very important role in the result of your retouching. The temperature slider will add more warmth to your photo (add yellow) or cool it (add blue), while the tint slider will add magenta or green.

Tip: When making this type of adjustment, I recommend that you go gradually so as not to distort the photo. Go ahead with subtle adjustments avoiding extremes.

3. Orange / Skin tone
Our presets are created for all skin tones. At Vizion Presets, we love to fine-tune the skin tones for each image. You may find that the presets work just fine for you (So don’t touch them anymore). In the rare event that the settings visibly change your skin tone (too dark, too light, or too orange skin), you need to adjust the orange color settings.

Tip 1: Orange luminance: Lower the orange luminance is (-), darker and more tanned the skin will be. Higher the orange luminance is (+), brighter the skin will be.
Tip 2: Orange saturation: If the skin tone is too saturated, you can reduce (-) the orange saturation. On the other hand, if the skin is too pale, you can increase (+) the orange saturation. Be careful with these sliders, because if you slide too low you will lose all skin tone and if you slide too high the skin will be very orange!
Tip 3: To access the orange bars of the Lightroom mobile app, click on the Color tab, which is in the menu at the bottom of the screen. Then press the color wheel icon. You can now select the color you are interested in.
